Construction and installation

The procedure for obtaining permission to start construction and installation works was abolished by the Resolution of the President “On additional measures to improve the rating of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the annual report of the World Bank and international financial corporation “Doing Business” dated February 5, 2019, No. 4160, according to which the permission was replaced by a notification of the state architectural and construction supervision authority about the start of construction and installation works.

Notification of the beginning of construction and installation works is submitted through the UPIPS in electronic form.

The authorized state body for this state service is the territorial inspection for control in the construction sector under the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Construction and installation works are accompanied by state architectural and construction supervision. Construction objects are divided into 3 categories of complexity. Objects of the 1st category of complexity are exempted from checks. A detailed description of state architectural and construction supervision is given in the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On approval of the Regulation on the procedure for the appointment and conduct of inspections in the process of construction and installation work by category of complexity (risk) of construction objects” dated October 12, 2017, No. 820.
