Land acquisition for construction purposes

The initial step before starting construction is to resolve issues relating to the land plot where the construction is planned and to execute applicable documents on allocation or registration of rights to the land plot. The law in the Republic of Uzbekistan provides various ways of acquiring the right to own and use a land plot, among which are redemption, acquisition, on the basis of PPP, seizure of land and etc. A historic innovation in the law is the right to obtain full property rights to the land from March 1, 2020.
